The first season of Lord of Mysteries gripped my imagination late last year, compelling me to read the entire series of light novels. This month, three special episodes came out covering parts of volume 1 that did not make it into season 1 for good reason. Again, the production was absolutely captivating.

What Makes the Anime Great?

  1. Artwork: The characters are drawn in a manner closer to the realistic style than in most anime. The character designs are excellent. The backgrounds are drawn with intricate details. The art for monsters and horror elements is great.
  2. Animation: The animation is excellent. The camerawork and choreography are dynamic. There is no caricaturization.
  3. Story: The source material is very well written, and complete. The characters are interesting. The magic system is detailed. The lore is very involved. The genre is transmigration and epic fantasy combined.

Why Is the Anime Not Mentioned Before?

Why is Lord of Mysteries not featured in Some of My Favorite Anime?

Because the anime has not finished yet. I’m sure when it does, it will make it to my top list.
